(ROWLANDS ROAD AND CRAG LANE, SUMMERSEAT, RAMSBOTTOM)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026 (Order)

1. The Metropolitan Borough of Bury (Council) gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers. If the Order comes into force it will introduce the following changes:

Introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions:

Rowlands Road, Summerseat, Ramsbottom

South side – from a point 6.2m west of the projected kerbline of Crag Lane for a distance of 18m in a westerly direction

Crag Lane, Summerseat, Ramsbottom

West side – from its junction with Rowlands Road for a distance of 5m in a northerly direction

2. The Order shall come into operation on the date that the Council publishes a notice stating that the Order has been made.

3. Details of the proposals are in the draft Order (including the exemptions contained within them) with plans showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order. Copies of these may be requested by email at TROobjections@bury.gov.uk quoting ref: TM2/26/567 and they will be available for inspection at the Town Hall from 9am – 4:30pm Mon – Fri.

4. All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to Traffic Team, Bury Council, Bradley Fold Depot, 34 Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, Radcliffe, Bury BL2 6RS or preferably by email to TROobjections@bury.gov.uk quoting ref: TM2/26/567 by 23/10/26

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026 (Order)

South easterly side – from a point 7m west of the westerly kerbline of Ravens Close to a point 5m east of the easterly kerbline of Ravens Close

Both sides – from the south easterly kerbline of Ravensway for a distance of 8m in a southerly direction

Woodthorpe Grange, Prestwich

North westerly side – from the easterly kerbline of Bury Old Road for a distance of 13m in a north easterly direction

South easterly side – from the easterly kerbline of Bury Old Road for a distance of 7m in a north easterly direction
