RHODDIR DRWY HYN RYBUDD fod Cyngor Gwynedd yn bwriadu dim llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad y rhybudd hwn wneud Gorchymyn fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darnau hynny o’r ffyrdd a noder isod.

Caead 1: Ffordd o’r A487 heibio Eglwys y Drindod i Orsaf Penrhyndeudraeth, Penrhyndeudraeth o’i gyffordd gyda Trem Cambria gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad gogledd orllewinol hyd at y gyffordd gyda’r A487, Penrhyndeudraeth. Mi fydd y ffordd hon yn cau ar y 27ain o Dachwedd 2026 am oddeutu 3 diwrnod.

Gwyriad: Teithio mewn cyfeiriad gogledd orllewinol ar Trem Cambria a throi i’r chwith yn y gyffordd gyda’r A487. Dilyn y ffordd hon mewn cyfeiriad de orllewinol hyd at y caead ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sydd yn teithio i’r cyfeiriad arall. Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.

Caead 2: Ffordd yr A496 rhwng Llandecwyn a Maentwrog o’i gyffordd gyda’r Ffordd o’r A496 i Fryn Eithin, Llandecwyn gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad gogledd ddwyrieniol hyd at y gyffordd gyda’r Ffordd o Orsaf Bŵer Maentwrog i’r A496, Maentwrog. Mi fydd y ffordd hon yn cau ar yr 20fed o Hydref 2026 am oddeutu 16 diwrnod.

Caead 3: Ffordd yr A496 rhwng Llandecwyn a Maentwrog o bwynt ger ffordd fynedfa’r Safle Gwaith Carthffosiaeth gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad de orllewinol hyd at y gyffordd gyda’r Ffordd o Orsaf Bŵer Maentwrog i’r A496, Maentwrog. Mi fydd y ffordd hon ar gau ar yr 16eg o Dachwedd 2026 am oddeutu 12 diwrnod.

Gwyriad: Teithio mewn cyfeiriad de orllewinol ar Ffordd yr A487 o Faentwrog yna troi i’r chwith yn y gyffordd gyda Trem Cambria ym Mhenrhyndeudraeth. Dilyn y ffordd hon mewn cyfeiriad de ddwyreiniol. Yn y gyffordd ger Gorsaf Rheilffordd Penrhyndeudraeth, troi i’r chwith i deithio mewn cyfeiriad de ddwyreiniol hyd at y caead ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sydd yn teithio i’r cyfeiriad arall. Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.

Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar gyfer gwaith ailwynebu.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(ROADS IN PENRHYNDEUDRAETH, LLANDECWYN AND MAENTWROG)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gwynedd Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along those lengths of roads noted below.

Closure 1: Road from the A487 passing St. Trinity’s Church to Penrhyndeudraeth Station from its junction with Cambrian View travelling north westerly up to the junction with the A487, Penrhyndeudraeth. This road will close on the 27th of November 2026 and will last for approximately 3 days.

Diversion: Travel north westerly on Cambrian View and turn left at the junction with the A487. Follow this road in a south westerly direction up to the closure and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. Access will be maintained for residents.

Closure 2: A496 Road between Llandecwyn and Maentwrog from its junction with the Road from the A496 to Bryn Eithin, Llandecwyn travelling north easterly up to the junction with the Road from Maentwrog Power Station to the A496, Mentwrog. This road will close on the 20th of October 2026 and will last for approximately 16 days.

Closure 3: A496 Road between Llandecwyn and Maentwrog from a point by the entrance road to the Sewerage Treatment Works, Maentwrog travelling south westerly up to the junction with the Road from Maentwrog Power Station to the A496, Mentwrog. This road will close on the 16th of November 2026 and will last for approximately 12 days.

Diversion: Travel south westerly on the A487 Road from Maentwrog then turn left at the junction with Cambrian View in Penrhyndeudraeth. Follow this road in a south easterly direction. At the junction by Penrhyndeudraeth Railway Station, turn left to travel south easterly up to the closure and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. Access will be maintained for residents.

The Order is necessary for resurfacing works.

The Order comes into effect on the 20th of October, 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding three months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the roads are completed, whichever is the earlier. See the works schedule above for the expected length of each works.
