(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, WSCC intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Kilnmead between Woodfield Road and Exchange Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst water pipe replacement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 19 October 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 19 October 2026 and will be completed by 6 November 2026.

Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to Southern Water telephone number 0330 303 0368. Any queries about the effect of the Order on highway users should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Crawley: A2011 Crawley Avenue & A264 Copthorne Way)
(Temporary 50mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 50mph on the A2011 Crawley Avenue & the A264 Copthorne Way between the A2004 Northgate Avenue roundabout junction and the A2220 Copthorne Way roundabout junction.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highways infrastructure improvement works are undertaken including road widening and construction of an additional lane on the approach to the M23 junction 10 interchange.

The Order will come into effect on 30 September 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. The reduced speed limit is expected to be in force until 5 March 2027.
