Skipton Road - Temporary Road Closure due to Northern Powergrid Electrical Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL SKIPTON ROAD, SILSDEN TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of Northern Powergrid (electrical works) proposed to be executed on or near Skipton Road, Silsden intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Skipton Road from a point outside No. 120 Skipton Road to a point outside No. 122 Skipton Road.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Skipton Road (unaffected section), Woodside Road, Dradishaw Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 12th October 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 16th October 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
