COWPER ROAD/COWPER RISE, MARKYATE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cowper Road/ Cowper Rise, Markyate from its junction with Cavendish Road southwards, eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Buckwood Road, a distance of approximately 294m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Cavendish Road, High Street and Buckwood Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads, whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

VARIOUS ROADS IN BERKHAMSTED, POTTEN END, BOVINGDON,
FLAMSTEAD, WIGGINTON, GREAT GADDESDEN AND RINGSHALL)
ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Ivy House Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with
The Common south eastwards for a distance of approximately 166m. An alternative route will be via The Common, Gravel Path, George Street and Ivy House Lane.
2. that length of Vicarage Road, Potten End from its junction with Nettleden Road south eastwards to its junction with Water End Road, a distance of approximately 880m.
An alternative route will be via Nettleden Road, The Common and Water End Road.
3. that length of Bovingdon Green, Bovingdon from its junction with Green Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Long Lane, a distance of approximately 417m. An alternative route will be via Green Lane, Bovingdon Green, Leyhill Road, Pudds Cross, Shantock Lane and Long Lane.
4. that length of Delmer End Lane, Flamstead from its junction with Lybury Lane north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Singlets Lane, a distance of approximately 953m. An alternative route will be via Lybury Lane, The Common, Hemel Hempstead Road, Gaddesden Lane, Green Lane, White Hill, Trowley Hill Road and Singlets Lane.
5. that length of Hagdale Lane, Wigginton from its junction with Chesham Road north eastwards to its junction with Rossway Lane, a distance of approximately 1050m.
An alternative route will be via Chesham Road, Hemp Lane, Bottom House Lane, Rossway Lane, Shootersway and Rossway Lane.
6. that length of Dodds Lane, Great Gaddesden from its junction with Piccotts End north eastwards for a distance of approximately 274m. An alternative route will be via Piccotts End, A4147 Link Road, St Agnells Lane, Cupid Green Lane and Dodds Lane.
7. that length of Bullbeggars Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 London Road north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 692m. An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, Bank Mill Lane, Bank Mill, Ivy House Lane, The Common and Bullbeggars Lane.
8. that length of Beacon Road, Ringshall from its junction with B4506 Ringshall Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 169m. An alternative route will be via B4506 Ringshall Road, B440 Main Road North, B489 Tring Road and Beacon Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH STREET, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Bovingdon from a 10m north west of its junction with the access road leading to ‘Bury Farm’ north westwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Church Street, High Street, Church Lane and Church Street.
The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Roman Road, Potten End from its southernmost junction with Frithsden Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 420m.
An alternative route will be via Frithsden Lane, Nettleden Road and Roman Road.
2. that length of Frithsden Lane, Potten End from its junction with Ashridge Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Nettleden Road, a distance of approximately 1759m. An alternative route will be via Ashridge Road, The Common and Nettleden Road.
3. that length of Frithsden Lane, Potten End from its northernmost junction with Roman Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 101m.
An alternative route will be via Roman Road and Frithsden Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 7 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 20 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTWAY SITUATED ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF CRAWLEY DRIVE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the north side of Crawley Drive, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.6A Crawley Drive south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Footway”). An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Crawley Drive, the footpath situated on the west side of Nos.12a-22 Crawley Drive, the footpath situated on the north side of No.22 Crawley Drive and the footway situated on the north side of Crawley Drive.
The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway.
The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rectory Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 High Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 28m (“the Road”), except for access. There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.401-411 Warners End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Gravel Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north and east sides of Gravel Lane, the footway situated on the south side of Warners End Road and the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.401-411 Warners End Road.
The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

An alternative route will be via B489 (Lower Icknield Way/Marsworth Road/High Street), B488 (Church Road/unnamed road/Upper Icknield Way/Bulbourne Road) and Tringford Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads
(“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Long Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northridge Way north westwards to its junction with Chaulden Terrace, a distance of approximately 76m.
An alternative route will be via Northridge Way, St Johns Road, Anchor Lane, Beechfield Road, Anchor Lane, Heath Lane, Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Warners End Road and Long Chaulden.
2. that length of Northridge Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lower Sales north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Upper Sales, a distance of approximately 188m. An alternative route will be via Northridge Way, St Johns Road, Anchor Lane, Beechfield Road, Anchor Lane, Heath Lane, Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Warners End Road and Northridge Way. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead from its junction with White Hill north eastwards to its junction with Linnins Pond, a distance of approximately 106m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via White Hill, Trowley Bottom, Pietley Hill, Valley Lane, Friendless Lane, Chapel Road and Trowley Hill Road. The Order is needed because utility and tree cutting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

1. that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Felden Lane north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A4146 Station Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 840m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, A41 (unnamed road), A414 Two Waters Way and A4251 London Road or via A4251 London Road, A414 Two Waters Way, A41 (Interchange/unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.
2. that length of Fishery Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A4251 London Road roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 170m.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads
(“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Aldwyck Court south eastwards to its junction with Bury Road, a distance of approximately 330m.
An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road/Swallowdale Lane/Maylands Road), A414 St Albans Road and Warners End Road.
2. that length of Warners End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bury Hill south eastwards to its junction with the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 61m. An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Galley Hill, Gadebridge Road and Warners End Road.

COUNTY OF HERTFORDSHIRE) (CLEARWAY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce Clearway Orders in the County of Hertfordshire as specified in Schedule to this Notice. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 30 September 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by looking at Ref: J00226. Objections or other representations to the proposals should be made in writing to tro.team@hertfordshire.gov.uk or TRO Services Team, Postal Point (CHO242), Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST by 21 October 2026 stating the grounds on which they are made.
