THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS
(ST HELENS RUGBY LEAGUE STADIUM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Peasley Cross Lane and Salisbury Street. The roads will be temporarily closed (in part or in full as required), for a period of time as determined necessary, prior to, during and after events held at the stadium.
The Order will come into force from 2nd November 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will only be in operation on event days at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
The reason for making this Order is to safely enable traffic and pedestrians to be managed around the Totally Wicked Stadium.
