(BEAUFORT ROAD AND FILTON AVENUE, BISHOPSTON & ASHLEY DOWN AND HORFIELD WARDS, CITY OF BRISTOL) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING – THE MEMORIAL STADIUM EVENTS) ORDER 202-
The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE that it proposes to make a traffic order, the effect of which would be to prohibit any vehicle, except pedal cycles, from entering or proceeding in lengths of Beaufort Road and Filton Avenue (between Gloucester Road and Muller Road) during events and sports fixtures taking place at The Memorial Stadium.
Specified exemptions would be provided, including necessary access to premises only accessible from the closed lengths of road.
The road closures would commence no more than 120 minutes before the gates open for the event or sports fixture and would remain in place until no more than 120 minutes after that event or sports fixture has ended. At least 24 hours prior warning would be given each time closures are required, by means of signs on the affected roads.

Further details of the proposal are contained in the draft order, which together with plans and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the order may be inspected at the Citizen Service Point at 100 Temple Street, Bristol, BS1 6AG, between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday. The draft order, plan and Statement of Reasons are also available to view on the Bristol City Council website at www.bristol.gov.uk/trafficorders.

Objections to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to TRO Comments at the undermentioned address or by e-mail to tro.comments@bristol.gov.uk quoting reference CAE/RGW/P-1374 by 23rd October 2026.
