BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(NOWELL ROAD AND PERSHORE ROAD, MIDDLETON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along;
(i) Nowell Road, from a point 35 metres south of its junction with Torre Close for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction,
(ii) Pershore Road, from its junction with Nowell Road for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction,
The Order is required to facilitate the replacement of a frame and cover in the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 09.30 hours until 15:00 hours on the 26th October 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles for Nowell Road, Road Closure will be via Waverley Road, Rochdale Road, Nowell Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for vehicles for Pershore Road, Road Closure will be via Nowell Road, Sherbourne Road, Pershore Road and vice versa.
(EGERTON STREET, HEYWOOD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Egerton Street from its junction with Hind Hill Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 165 metres
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Egerton Street from its junction with Hind Hill Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 165 metres
The Order is required to facilitate Installation of new join bay within the carriageway
The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 20th October 2026 until 23:59 on the 1st November 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Hind Hill Street, Market Place, York Street, Bamford Road, Market Street, Dawson Street, Bridge Street, Pilsworth Road, Egerton Street & vice versa.
(THORNHAM LANE, MIDDLETON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Thornham Lane from its junction with Rochdale Road for a distance of 23 metres in an easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate water works within the carriageway and footway.
The Order will be operative from 09.00 hours until 16.00 hours each day from the 26th October 2026 until 30th October 2026 as required. Access will be provided if required and safe to do so.
There is no alternative route for vehicles.
