CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(TODDINGTON ROAD, HARLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Toddington Road, Harlington opposite the access to New Manor Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 October. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via A5120, B530, B579, Sundon Rd, Church Rd, Harlington Rd, Sundon Rd, Station Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(BEDFORD ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Houghton Regis between Aylesbury Way and Bidwell Hill.

This temporary closure is required to enable S278 Resurfacing, White lining and anti skid work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 30 October between the hours of 2100-0600hrs.

The alternative route for this closure will be via A5, A505, B5120, Bedford Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 26 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Road, Totternhoe between The Ride and number 37.

This temporary closure is required to enable ducting work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 14 October 2026 between the hours 0930-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Castle Hill Rd, Eaton Bray Rd, Totternhoe Rd, Market Square, High St, Bower Lane, Dunstable Rd, Church Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 12 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
