The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (East) (No.18) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of the unnamed footpaths within Wandon Park bounded by the rear of no’s 1-13 Middleton Road to the north, Wandon Close and Eastfield Close to the west, the playing field/open space to the east and the rear of no’s 157-197 Telscombe Way to the south at Luton, in the Borough of Luton. This is to enable development as permitted by The Borough of Luton Council, under reference 19/01233/FUL.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@ dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO9407152). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Stopsley Library, Hitchin Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU2 7UG.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 30 September 2026.
