NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made an Order, the effect of which is to:-

REVOKE in their entirety the following Orders:
(Borough of Rochdale (Hopwood Triangle Traffic Management Scheme) (Experimental Traffic) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2026)

(Borough of Rochdale (Hopwood Triangle Traffic Management Scheme) (Experimental Traffic) (One-Way Working) Order 2026)

(Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Heywood Township) Order 2008) (Amendment) (No. 87) (Experimental Variation) Order 2026)

A copy of the Revocation Order and other relevant documentation may be viewed on the Council's website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.

If you wish to question the validity of the Revocation Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 17th September 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2026.
