THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (SAXONDALE TO BARROWBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A52 Trunk Road, between Saxondale and Barrowby, in the Counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, to enable maintenance works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close any layby adjacent to the A52 between its roundabout junction with The Fosse and the A46 slip roads, at Saxondale, and its junction with the two-way link road leading to and from the southbound carriageway of the A1, at Barrowby.

The work is expected to start on Monday 26 October 2026 and continue for approximately twelve days.

The layby closures will be carried out in phases between 13:00 hours and 06:00 hours. The Order will come into force on 19 October 2026.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
