What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
EDGE ROAD, EYAM

WHEN: 19 October and 20 October 2026 (between 09:30 to 15:30 each day).
WHERE: Edge Road, Eyam between Jct. with Hawkhill Road and Jct. with High Cliffe.
REASON: To facilitate BT pole testing
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: High Cliffe, Sir William Hill Road, Hucklow Edge Lane, Bradshaw Lane, Main Road, Foolow Road, Town Head, Hawkhill Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
