(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Playden Lane – from the junction with B2082 Main Street to the junction with U6414 Grove Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6414 Grove Lane – B2082 Main Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 12 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Wittersham Road – from the junction with C91 Mackerel Hill to the junction with C167 Blackwall Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C167 Blackwall Road (KCC), The Street (KCC) – B2082 Stocks Road (KCC), Rye Road (KCC) – B2082 Wittersham Road, Iden Road, Main Street, Iden Road – A268 Rye Road, Main Street, Flackley Ash – C91 Mackerel Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 12 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 and 13 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow The Blackford Group to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
West Hill Road – from the junction with A259 Bexhill Road to the junction with U3110 Boscobel Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via A259 Bexhill Road, Grosvenor Crescent, Marina, Grand Parade – A2102 London Road – U3134 Pevensey Road – U3135 Pevensey Road – U3110 Pevensey Road, Boscobel Road and westbound via U3110 Boscobel Road, Pevensey Road – U3135 Pevensey Road – U3134 Pevensey Road – A2102 London Road, Norman Road, Warrior Square – A259 Grand Parade, Marina, Grosvenor Crescent, Bexhill Road.
The Order commences 9 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 and 16 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Baldslow Road – from the junction with C215 Elphinstone Road to the junction with U3286 Laton Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3286 Laton Road – C215 Elphinstone Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 September and 5 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Burgh Hill – from the junction with A265 Haremere Hill to the junction with A265 High Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A265 Haremere Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 1 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 and 2 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Prospect Place – from the junction with U3162 St Michaels Place to the junction with A21 Cambridge Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3162 St Michaels Place, Dorset Place – A21 Cambridge Road.
The Order commences 30 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 30 September and 1 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Spring Hill – from the junction with C19 Bodiam Road to the junction with C290 Rocks Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C290 Rocks Hill, Church Lane – A21(T) Northbridge Street, Silverhill – C19 Bodiam Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 and 29 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Crouch Lane – from the junction with B2095 Lower Street to the junction with A269 Bexhill Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2095 Lower Street – C1128 Lower Street – A269 Bexhill Road and vice versa. The Order commences 28 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U3069 Mildenhall Drive, St Leonards-on-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:
Temporary Road Closure
Mildenhall Drive – from the junction with U3070 Old Harrow Road to the junction with B2159 Battle Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3070 Old Harrow Road – U3071 Ashbrook Road – B2159 Battle Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 1 October 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 20 August 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 10 September 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 1 October and 1 November 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A269 Ninfield Road/Bexhill Road, Bexhill/Ninfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Ninfield Road/Bexhill Road – from the junction with A2691 Haven Brook Avenue to the junction with U7705 Crouch Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Bexhill Road, The Green, High Street, Standard Hill – A271 Kitchenham Road, Beechdown Wood, North Trade Road, Ten Sixty Six roundabout – A2100 High Street, Upper Lake, Lower Lake, Battle Hill, Hastings Road, Battle Road, Beauport Park roundabout, The Ridge West – A2690 Queensway, Combe Valley Way – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 September and 17 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6433 The Grove/Rope Walk, Rye)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Grove/Rope Walk – for 30 metres at the level crossing.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via U6433 The Grove, Deadmans Lane – A268 Rye Hill, Fishmarket Road – A259(T) Fishmarket roundabout, Fishmarket Road, South Undercliff, Strand Quay, Wish Street roundabout – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road, Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street – U6433 Rope Walk and southbound via U6433 Rope Walk – A268 Tower Street, Landgate, Rye Hill – U6433 Deadmans Lane, The Grove.
To maintain access a suspension of one way traffic on Deadmans Lane will be in place (revert to two way traffic) during these works.
The Order commenced 3 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 30 September and 1 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
St Helens Road – from the junction with A2101 Park Gates roundabout to the junction with A21 Sedlescombe Road North.
Diversion northbound via A2101 Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road, Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place, Carlisle Parade, White Rock, Verulam Place, Eversfield Place, Grand Parade – A21 London Road, Sedlescombe Road North and southbound via A21 Sedlescombe Road North, London Road – A2102 Norman Road, Warrior Square – A259 Grand Parade, Eversfield Place, Verulam Place, White Rock, Carlisle Parade, Denmark Place – A2101 Albert Road, Queens Road, Park Gates roundabout.
Dordrecht Way – from the junction with A2101 St Helens Road to the junction with U3171 Lower Park Road North.
Diversion via A2101 St Helens Road – A21 Sedlescombe Road North, Bohemia Road – U3171 Upper Park Road, Lower Park Road and vice versa or via A2101 St Helens Road, Park Gates roundabout – U3178 Bethune Way – U3171 Lower Park Road and vice versa. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.
The Order commences 28 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 September and 2 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

East Sussex County Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, No Stopping, Loading, Unloading and Parking Places)
(Rother District Consolidation) Order 2025 Amendment 2 2026 (Minor Order)
East Sussex County Council made the above Minor Order on 25 September 2026 for the parking bays in De La Warr Parade to include free parking 22:00 to 06:00 in the paid for parking bays 08:00 to 18:00 and paid for parking or permit holders parking 08:00 to 18:00. The order will come into operation on 16 October 2026. A copy of the draft Order and plans showing the lengths of roads affected together with a statement of the County Council’s reasons for making the Order may be examined at these offices between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm inclusive, at County Hall, St. Annes Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE.
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
