What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ETWALL ROAD, MICKLEOVER

WHEN: 15 October to 16 October 2026 (20:00 to 06:00)

WHERE: Etwall Road, Mickleover between Kensey Road and 425m from The Hollow Bridge.

REASON: To facilitate maintenance grass cutting, drainage, sign cleaning, carriageway cleansing.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A38 from J A516 South of Mickleover to J A50/B5008 SW, A38 from Derby Boundary South to Kingsway, A38 J A516 South of Mickleover Leave SW, A516 from Derby Boundary to A38, Burton Road, Unnamed Slip Roads on A38 At A5250 Interchange, A38 through J A50/B5008 ending at bullnose of Off Slip S, A38 J A50/B5008 leave SW, Unnamed Slip Roads on A38 at A50 Interchange, A50 J A38/B5008 Roundabout including link roads, Unnamed Roundabout on A50 At A38 Interchange, Unnamed Section of A50 from A38 Interchange to A514, A50 J A38/B5008 join W, Unnamed Slip Roads on A50 at A38 Interchange, A50 through J A38/B5008 W, Unnamed Section of A50 from A516 to A38 Interchange, A50 from J A38/B5008 To J A516 W, A50 through J A516 W, A50 J A516 leave W, Unnamed Slip Roads on A50t at J with A516, Derby Road, Etwall Road, Kensey Road and vice versa. 

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
