Hurst Road (C55) Walton On The Hill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hurst Road (C55) Walton On The Hill as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Twistwood Farm” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Edes Stables”. Alternative Route: Ebbisham Lane, (B2220) Chequers Lane, (B2032) Dorking Road, (B2033) Headley Common Road, Church Lane, and Hurst Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Barr Engineering Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Tatsfield Approach Road (D446) Tatsfield and Moor Lane (B2028) Dormansland Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Tatsfield Approach Road (D446) Tatsfield as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Smokey Mountain” to its junction with (B2024) Clarks Lane. Alternative Route: Tatsfield Approach Road, Westmore Green, Ship Hill, Church Hill, (B2024) Clarks Lane, and Tatsfield Approach Road, or this route in reverse: (b) Moor Lane (B2028) Dormansland as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The White House” to its junction with (C85) Starborough Road. Alternative Route: (B2028) Moor Lane, (B2028) Racecourse Road, (B2028) Town Hill, (B2028) High Street, (B2028) Plaistow Street, (B2029) Godstone Road, Lingfield Common Road, Haxted Road, Lingfield Road, Mont St Aignan Way, High Street, Mill Hill, (B2028) Marsh Green Road, and Moor Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom blockages and pole testing works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Stane Street (A29) Ockley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stane Street (A29) Ockley as extends from its junction with (D290) Cathill Lane to its junction with (X68812) Waleys Lane. Alternative Route: (A29) Stane Street, (A29) Beare Green Road, (A29) Ockley Road, (A24) Beare Green Roundabout, (A24) Capel By-pass, (A24) Clarks Green Roundabout, (A24) Horsham Road, (A24) Dorking Road, Marches Road, (A29) Bognor Road, and (A29) Stanes Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate drainage improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, and will commence as soon as possible, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for residents will be maintained via Cathill Lane only. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Three Arch Road (D355) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Three Arch Road (D355) Redhill as extends from its junction with (A23) Horley Road to its junction at its roundabout with (D355) Canada Avenue and (D355) Royal Earlswood Park. Alternative Route: (1) Three Arch Road, Masons Bridge Road, Axes Lane, Green Lane, Dayseys Hill, Rookery Hill, Chapel Road, Weatherhill Road, Smallfield Road, (B2036) Balcombe Road, (A23) Balcombe Road, (A23) Brighton Road, (A23) Bonehurst Road, (A23) Brighton Road, and (A23) Horley Road; (2) Three Arch Road, (A23) Horley Road, A23 Brighton Road, A23 Bonehurst Road, A23 Balcombe Road, B2036 Balcombe Road, Smallfield Road, Weatherhill Road, Chapel Road, Rookery Hill, Dayseys Hill, Green Lane, Axes Lane, Masons Bridge Road, Three Arch Road. This Order is required to facilitate major maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 days, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for residents and emergency service vehicles will be maintained when and if it is safe to do so, access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Station Road (D349) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 25 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Station Road (D349) Horley.

Alternative route – Station Approach, Victoria Road and Balcombe Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 October 2026 for 8 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained by road plates. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Haxted Road (C87) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 25 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Haxted Road (C87) Lingfield as extends from its junction with Bowerland Lane (D408) to the access for “Puttenden Manor”.

Alternative route – Haxted Road, Lingfield road, B2026 (Mont St Aignan Way, High Street and Mill Hill), B2028 (Marsh Green Road, Moor Lane, Racecourse Road, Town Hill, High Street and Plaistow Street), B2029 (Godstone Road) and Lingfield Common Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole testing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 October 2026 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Eastbourne Road (A22) South Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 25 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eastbourne Road (A22) South Godstone as extends from the access for Ragan Mews to the access for “Lagham Manor”.

Alternative route – A22 (Eastbourne Road, Woodcock Hill and London Road), A264 (Copthorne Road, Snow Hill, Copthorne Common and Copthorne Way), A2011 (Crawley Avenue), A23 (London Road), A217 (Reigate Road, Dovers Green Road, Cockshot Hill, Bell Street), A25 (High Street, London Road, Castlefield Road, Church Street, Bancroft Road (anti-clockwise only), Reigate Road, Hatchlands Road, Station Road, Queensway and London Road), A23 (Princess Way), A25 (Redstone Hill, Nutfield Road, High Street, Bletchingley Road, Castle Street, High Street, Godstone Road, Bletchingley Road, Godstone Green (anti-clockwise only), High Street and Oxted Road) and A22 (Godstone By-Pass), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Network Rail to facilitate a bridge inspection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 October 2026 for 1 night, between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

White Lane (D446) Titsey BEC Hill Climb (Temporary Traffic) Order 2026

On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the entire length of White Lane (D446) Titsey.

Alternative Route: (B2024) Clarks Lane, and (B269) Titsey Hill, or this route in reverse. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading or driving of horses or any other animals. The Order is required to facilitate a one-day road cycling event known as the “BEC Hill Climb” organised by the BEC Cycling Club. The Order will come into effect on 11 October 2026, for a period of one day but the prohibitions, which are anticipated to apply from 9am until 6pm, will only be operative while the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf displays the relevant traffic signs.

The prohibition of traffic specified above will not apply to any pedal cycle or other vehicle being used in connection with the event. No vehicular access to and from any premises will be affected however controlled access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained at all times. Emergency access for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas electricity water or electronic communications apparatus to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic will also be maintained. The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of “the Act”, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road.

Church Street (D2814) and Myrtle Road (D2814) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- 1. that length of Church Street (D2814) Dorking as extends from its junction with Station Road (A2003) to its junction with Meadowbrook Road (D2814); and 2. the entire length of Myrtle Road (D2814) Dorking.

Alternative route – Westbound: North Street, A25 (South Street, Vincent Lane and West Street) and A2003 (Station Road). Eastbound: A2003 (Station Road), A25 (West Street) and West Street Car Park.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate duct laying and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 October 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Ship Hill (D446) Tatsfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ship Hill (D446) Tatsfield as extends from its junction with (X45037) Borough Road to its junction with (D446) Westmore Green.

Alternative Route – Ship Hill, Church Hill, B2024 Clarks Lane, Tatsfield Approach Road and Westmore Green, or this route in reverse. This Notice is required to facilitate carriageway patching and resurfacing works, to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 October 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for residents and emergency service vehicles will be maintained when and if it is safe to do so, access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Beatrice Road (D443) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beatrice Road (D443) Oxted as extends from its junction with Station Road East (C81) to the common boundary of 14 Beatrice Road and 104 Station Road East.

Alternative route – Beatrice Road, Ellice Road, Amy Road and Station Road East, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 October 2026 for 3 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Buckles Way (D1010), and Burgh Wood (D1009) Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in (a) the entire length of Buckles Way (D1010) Banstead.

Alternative Route – Buckles Way; Hillside; Green Curve; Nork Way; Beacon Way; and Buckles Way or this same route in reverse; and (b) that length of Burgh Wood (D1009) Banstead as extends from its junction with (D1007) Hillside eastwards for a distance of approximately 25 metres.

Alternative Route – Burgh Wood; Green Curve; and Hillside or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 19 October 2026 is required to facilitate mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the lengths of road described in this notice. The works in are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents within the closure area, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with (X15119) The Drive to its junction with (X67672) Pebble Lane.

Alternative Route: Headley Road, (A24) By-Pas Road, (B2033) Reigate Road, (B2033) Mill Way, (B2033) Leech Lane, (B2033) Tot Hill, Church Lane, Clay Lane, and Headley Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Barr Engineering Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
