What is happening?

VARIOUS ROADS, MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE & SPOIN KOP)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS ORDER 2026 (M26-179))
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield Woohouse & Spoin Kop in the District of Mansfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. A60 Leeming Lane North, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with Peafield Lane to its junction with The Fairways
b. A60 Leeming Lane, Spoin Kop - From its junction with The Fairways, Mansfield Woodhouse to its junction with Sookholme Road, Warsop
c. Sandgate Road, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with Leeming Lane North to its junction with Meden Road
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road
a. A60 Leeming Lane North, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with Peafield Lane to its junction with The Fairways
b. A60 Leeming Lane, Spoin Kop - From its junction with The Fairways, Mansfield Woodhouse to its junction with Sookholme Road, Warsop
c. Sandgate Road, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with Leeming Lane North to its junction with Meden Road
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Monday 12th October 2026
Until Saturday 17th October 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. A60 - A616 - A6075 and Vice versa
The Order will come into force on 12th October 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out carriageway patching works.
