Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils

Notice is hereby given, that North Ayrshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 53 (1) of the above mentioned Act and in the second period of the consultation process published, proposes to amend the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils within North Ayrshire Council.

A Special Meeting of the Council, held on 16 September 2026, agreed to a public consultation exercise on proposed amendments to the Scheme to be held over an eight week period. This second period of formal consultation addresses the Scheme itself. A copy of the Proposed Scheme and a map showing the proposed Community Council areas may be downloaded from the Council’s website at www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk or may be examined at:

• Council Headquarters, Cunninghame House, Irvine KAl2 8EE— Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.45pm

• Libraries

Any person or organisation wishing to make written representations or comments on the proposed scheme, along with suggestions for amendments, may do so no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 25 November 2026 either:

• by email to elections@north-ayrshire.gov.uk

• in writing to Election Office, Cunninghame House, Irvine KAl2 8EE

Please note that any comments or representations received made may be included in a publicly available report to the Council. No personal information such as email addresses or other contact details will be published.

(A737 Kilwinning Road, Irvine) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

Order made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will make it unlawful to drive any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency vehicles and vehicles engaged on carrying out Bridge Expansion Joint Repair Works) on A737 Kilwinning Road, Irvine (between Redburn Roundabout and A737 Eglinton Interchange Access Road), by reason of works proposed to be executed on or near that road. The Order will be in operation from 8pm 26th October to 6am 6th November 2026 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is earlier.
