Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Thatches Grove, Romford) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026

Notice Of Intent

1. Notice Is Hereby Given that in order to facilitate works for UKPN in the carriageway; THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Monday 2 November 2026.

The works expected for:
- UKPN works in the carriageway, to take 5 days to complete.
Completion date estimated as Friday 6 November 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Thatches Grove, both sides, from a point 28 metres south of its junction with Rams Grove in a southerly direction to its eastern junction with Rose Lane.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for access) on Thatches Grove, both sides, from its western junction with Rose Lane in a north-easterly then southerly direction to a point 28 metres south of its junction with Rams Grove.

4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via: Rose Lane.
