We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Barugh Lane, Little Barugh for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 05/10/26 & 05/02/27, due to laying surface water sewer, manhole construction & air testing works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 28/02/27. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Cyclists & Horse Traffic, Public Bridleway 25.122/110/1 Hawnby, Order 2026 No. 601
We have made this Order to prohibit any pedestrian, cyclist or person riding or leading a horse from using the Public Bridleway 25.122/110/1 in the Parish of Hawnby between grid references SE53099073 and SE53359097 for a temporary period of 6 months (subject to access to premises) between 06/10/26 & 14/03/27, due to an unsafe bridge. 20mph & 40mph Speed Limits, Various Roads, Thornton-Le-Clay, Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 mph & 40 mph on any length of road specified below:-
Schedule 1 - 20 Mph Speed Limit
C181 – Thornton-le-Clay To Foston Road, from its junction with High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 210 metres. C181 – Thornton-le-Clay To Thornton Moor, from its junction with Low Street in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 32 metres. High Street, from its junction with the projected centre line of Low Street in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 420 metres. Low Street, for its entirety.
Schedule 2 - 40 Mph Speed Limit
C181 – Thornton-le-Clay To Foston Road, from a point approximately 210 metres east of its junction with High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 770 metres. High Street, from a point approximately 420 metres west of its junction with the projected centre line of Low Street in a westerly direction to its junction with Moor Lane.

North Yorkshire County Council (Restricted Roads, Thornton-Le-Clay Village) Order 1999, In its entirety. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Malton library, St. Michael Street, Malton, YO17 7LJ during normal office hours from 30/09/26 until 21/10/26 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. We intend to make this Order to prohibit any motor-powered vehicle from using UURs U8006/9/60, U8006/9/50, U8006/9/40 & U8006/9/20 in the Parish of Farndale East, between grid reference SE68569099 & SE68339344 for a temporary period of 18 months between 19/10/26 & 18/04/28 to protect the route from damage over the wetter winter months.
