PART OF NORTH STREET, BARMBY ON THE MARSH
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of North Street, Barmby on the Marsh encompassing a property called Cherry Tree House commencing 19 October 2026 at 08.00 hours until 20 October 2026 at 15.00 hours for the purposes installing a sewer connection into a Yorkshire Water foul sewer pipe in the carriageway works. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via North Street and High Street, Barmby on the Marsh CP, Howden Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
