What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council has made the CITY OF SALFORD (LONDON STREET, PENDLETON AND CHARLESTOWN) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND REPLACEMENT) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:
London Street, (i) north-east side, from the south-easterly extended kerbline of Cromwell Road for 46.3m in a southeasterly direction, (ii) south-west side, from the southeasterly extended kerbline of Cromwell Road for 10m in a south-easterly direction.
The Order was made on 24th September 2026 and will come into effect on 5th October 2026. A copy of the Order and the plan are available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 24th September 2026 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
