Lammack Road - Temporary Road Closure due to Cable Installation Works
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
(LAMMACK ROAD, BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intend to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to close the access road on the easterly side of Lammack Road, Blackburn from its northerly entrance for the extent in a southerly direction ending opposite Nos 166 and 164 Lammack Road.
The closure is necessary for the following reason: Excavation to install cable for new connection
The Order will come into force on 7th October 2026 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the work will be completed by 14th October 2026.
The alternative route for the traffic affected will be to enter the access road from its southerly entrance point, approximately opposite Nos.152/154 Lammack Road.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
