HECKINGTON – ST ANDREWS STREET & CHURCH STREET) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting as set out in the Schedule below:

• Extend the existing No Waiting at Any Time on St Andrews Street from property number 5 in a westerly direction to Church Street junction.

• Remove existing No Waiting at Any Time outside property numbers 61 and 71 Church Street.

• Introduce No Waiting at Any Time from St Andrews Street junction alongside the Church Wall and change the existing No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm on Church Street, which runs alongside the Church wall to No Waiting at Any Time.

• Introduce No Waiting at Any Time at the junction of Church Street and Cameron Street.

Exemptions are included which will permit waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas, electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.

The Order will come into operation on 2nd October 2026 and a copy of the Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons can be requested.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 28th September 2026 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
