NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AN ORDER Section 14 Road

(Overton Public Footpaths 2 And 36)

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wrexham County Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the following public footpaths:

Overton public footpath 2 commencing from Overton High Street at SJ 3727 4173 and continuing generally south along a track for approximately 255 metres to the junction with Overton public footpath 36 at the sewage works at SJ 3720 4150 and then generally west for approximately 720 metres to the junction of Overton public footpath 16 near the river Dee at SJ 3651 4141.

Overton public footpath 36 commencing from the A528 Salop Road at SJ 3732 4145 and continuing generally north west for approximately 160 metres to meet Overton public footpath 2 at the sewage works at SJ 3720 4150. The closure is being made in the interests of public safety whilst a new water main is being installed.

The alternative route commences from Overton public footpath 2 at SJ 3651 4141 and continues generally north north-east for approximately 840 metres to meet the A528 Overton Road at SJ 3687 4208 and then generally east south-east for approximately 480 metres to Overton High Street at SJ 3732 4195 and then generally south along Overton High Street for approximately 225 metres to the junction of Overton public footpath 2 at SJ 3727 4173.

The Order will come into force on 19 October 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 6 months, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of 6 months. Dated this 28 day of September 2026.

Hysbysir drwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan Adran 14 Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984, fel y’i diwygiwyd, a fydd yn cau’r llwybrau cyhoeddus canlynol dros dro:

Llwybr cyhoeddus 2 Owrtyn sy’n dechrau o Stryt Fawr Owrtyn yn SJ 3727 4173 ac yn parhau yn gyffredinol i’r de ar hyd trac am oddeutu 255 metr hyd at y gyffordd â llwybr cyhoeddus 36 Owrtyn wrth y gwaith carthffosiaeth yn SJ 3720 4150 ac yna’n gyffredinol i’r gorllewin am oddeutu 720 metr hyd at y gyffordd â llwybr cyhoeddus 16 Owrtyn ger afon Dyfrdwy yn SJ 3651 4141.

Llwybr cyhoeddus 36 Owrtyn sy’n dechrau o’r A528 Ffordd Sir Amwythig yn SJ 3732 4145 ac yn parhau yn gyffredinol i’r gogledd-orllewin am oddeutu 160 metr i gwrdd â llwybr cyhoeddus 2 Owrtyn wrth y gwaith carthffosiaeth yn SJ 3720 4150. Mae’r llwybrau yn cael eu cau er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd tra bod prif bibell ddwr newydd yn cael ei gosod.

Mae’r llwybr amgen yn cychwyn o lwybr cyhoeddus 2 Owrtyn yn SJ 3651 4141 ac yn parhau yn gyffredinol i’r gogledd gogledd-ddwyrain am oddeutu 840 metr i gwrdd â’r A528 Ffordd Owrtyn yn SJ 3687 4208 ac yna’n gyffredinol i’r dwyrain de-ddwyrain am oddeutu 480 metr hyd at Stryt Fawr Owrtyn yn SJ 3732 4195 ac yna yn gyffredinol i’r de ar hyd Stryt Fawr Owrtyn am oddeutu 225 metr hyd at y gyffordd â llwybr cyhoeddus 2 Owrtyn yn SJ 3727 4173.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 19 Hydref 2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 6 mis, neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau’n gynharach, heb fod yn hwy na 6 mis. Dyddiedig 28 Medi 2026.
