What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) (CLIFTON CRESCENT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING, WAITING AND LOADING)   

1. The Council of the London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice that enable utility works by JBDS Ltd, it intends to make an order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit parking, stopping, waiting and loading on a section of Clifton Crescent.

2. The effect of the order is to temporarily prohibit parking, stopping, waiting and loading at the following location: Between 20 and 27 Clifton Crescent, where double yellow lines are located, north side of carriageway.

3. When barriers, cones and/or yellow lines are in place, no person shall cause a vehicle to park, wait, load or unload, including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods.  
A cycle hanger will temporarily be located within the yellow line section whilst works are carried out on Studholme Street.

4. The restrictions would not apply to vehicles used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 

5. This order comes into force on the 9th of October and will be in force until works are completed  on Studholme Street, expected to be the 4th of November 2026.
