DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY IN THE BOROUGH OF STAFFORD

Staffordshire County Council (Addition of a restricted byway in the parish of Gayton, Stafford Borough) Modification Order 2026

On the 1st of September 2026 Staffordshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the Order as confirmed, is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by the addition of a restricted byway in the parish of Gayton, Stafford Borough.

A copy of the confirmed Order and Map has been deposited and may be seen free of charge at Stafford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Riverside Stafford ST16 3AQ and at Staffordshire County Council Reception, Staffordshire Place 1, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2LP during normal working hours, Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and the Map may be purchased.

The Order came in to force on the 1st of September 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wishes to question its validity, or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under paragraph 21 of Schedule 15 to the Act, make an application to the High Court not later than 11th November 2026.
