THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
PART OF CHURCH SIDE, GOODMANHAM

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on
foot/whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback
along part of Church Side, Goodmanham encompassing
properties Hollyhock Cottage northbound to Foldyard
House (inclusive) commencing 19 October 2026 at
08.00 hours until 23 October 2026 at 17.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
part of Church Side, Goodmanham excavation, supply
and connection of a new water supply works, to be
carried out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that
the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Church Side and Main Street, Goodmanham CP,
Wolds Weighton Ward. The road will be closed to
all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 19 October 2026 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
