ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
THIXENDALE ROAD, FRIDAYTHORPE

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Thixendale Road, Fridaythorpe between Millington
Glebe Farm ending at the junction with Church Lane
commencing 29 October 2026 at 08.00 hours until
2 November 2026 at 17.00 hours to install ducting
and chambers for the new BDUK fibre network on
Thixendale Road, Fridaythorpe. The road closure is
necessary to enable the works to be carried out in
a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
five days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Thixendale Road, Back
Street, Main Street, A166 York Road, A166 Garrowby
Hill, South Wold and Roman Road, Thixendale CP,
Fridaythorpe CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic.
