ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF BOTH
ST HELENS CLOSE AND ST HELENS ROAD,
POCKLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of St Helens Close from the property boundary of both
Middlecote and Woldsway to its junction with St Helens
Road/Avenue and part of St Helens Road, Pocklington
from the junction of Kilnwick Road northbound
encompassing properties Clifton and Woldsway
commencing 26 October 2026 at 09.30 hours until
29 October 2026 at 15.30 hours for the purposes
of laying ducting works. The road closure is necessary
to enable the works to be carried out in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within four days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via St Helens Avenue, Pocklington TC,
Pocklington Provincial Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
