ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
SAND LANE, WILBERFOSS

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Sand Lane, Wilberfoss from its junction with the A1079
ending at its junction with Newbridge Lane, Yapham
commencing 26 October 2026 until 5 November
2026 to allow for bend strengthening and patching
works on Sand Lane, Wilberfoss. The road closure
is necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
11 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Newbridge Lane, Yapham,
Bolton Lane, Wilberfoss and A1079 Hull Road, Newton
on Derwent CP, Wilberfoss CP, Fangfoss CP, Pocklington
Provincial Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure. The road
will be closed to all through traffic but access will
be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
