THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(ROBERT BURNS DRIVE) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026 – TEMP/26/143
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate new drainage connection works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven on any part of; and (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of: robert burns dr, from the extended south-east kerbline of Double Hedges Rd, south-eastwards for 60m. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of road described. The alternative routes for through vehicular traffic in relation to the closure of robert burns dr will be by way of: (i) Double Hedges Rd, Gilmerton Rd, Rutherford Dr, Woodstock Pl, Cumnor Cres, Robert Burns Dr; & (ii) Double Hedges Rd, Kirk Brae (Lasswade Rd), Claverhouse Dr, Gilmerton Rd, Rutherford Dr, Woodstock Pl, Cumnor Cres, Robert Burns Dr.The Order shall have effect from 28/09/26 to 11/10/26.
