TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2026

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

NB: The restrictions will be in place between 09:00 and 15:00 on weekdays during the dates of restrictions, with only one road closed at a time as indicated by on site signage.

FLEGGBURGH – C457 Tower Road from its junction with A1064 Main Road for 60m westwards to facilitate overhead cabling works on 1st October 2026 (may continue until 12th November 2026). Alternative route is via: A1064 Main Road, Town Road, Rollesby Road, Tower Road. The works promoter is Openreach.

FLEGGBURGH – U69345 Hall Road from its junction with B1152 Main Road for 60m westwards to facilitate duct with cab and chamber installation works from 1st to 5th October 2026 (may continue until 16th November 2026). Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over Road B will be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 28th September to 20th November 2026 (may continue until 20th May 2027). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice.

If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle tracks, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT), but may also be extended further by the Secretary of State.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
