(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because gas mains replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along: 1.Norman Mt, Kirkstall, Leeds between its jct with Abbey Rd and outside property no 3;2. Back Norman Mt, Kirkstall, Leeds between its jct with Abbey Rd and the rear of property no 6 De Lacy Mt 3. De Lacy Mt, Kirkstall, Leeds between its jct with Abbey Rd and outside property no 3; 4. Back De Lacy Mt, Kirkstall, Leeds between its jct with Abbey Rd and the rear of property no 5 De Lacy Mount. Diversionary route available via: Abbey Rd, Norman Grove, Morris Ln and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on 29 September 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 mths or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works requiring a road closure to enable installation of a new electrical connection and road crossing are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Adwalton Grn, Drighlington, Leeds in the Morley North Ward from outside number 7 to number 9 Adwalton Grn. No diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available due to Adwalton Grn being a cul-de-sac. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on Tuesday 29th September 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works by Northern Powergrid to facilitate electricity supply fuse upgrading are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Vesper Way, Kirkstall, Leeds in the Kirkstall Ward outside properties between nos. 39 to 98 Vesper Way. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Vesper Way looped street. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on Tuesday 29th September 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works requiring a road closure to enable a new electric connection are being proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Vicarage Ave, Gildersome, Leeds in the Morley North Ward at its junction with Finkle Ln to outside property number 12 Vicarage Ave. No diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available due to Vicarage Ave being a no through road. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on Tuesday 13th October 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works requiring a road closure to enable a new connection are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Back Nunnington Vw, Armley, Leeds in the Armley Ward at the rear of numbers 2 to 6 Nunnington Vw. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Nunnington Vw, Armley Park Rd, Armley Lodge Rd and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because upsizing sewer and installing new CSO works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways; Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along South Dr between its jcts with Cotefields Ave and Thornfield Ave. Diversionary route via Cotefields Ave, Wheatlands, Thornfield Ave and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on 28 Sept 2026 and will remain in force for a max period of 18 mths or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Traffic Speed Restriction) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because telecoms works are being proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: The speed limit on Harrogate Rd, shall be reduced to 30 mph in both directions between the Leeds Bradford Airport/Victoria Ave roundabout extending 500m along Harrogate Rd to the Budget Rent A Car premises. The speed reduction will be in place between 20:00 and 06:00 hrs on each day. The Order shall come into operation on 27 Sept 2026 and will remain in force for a max period of 18 mths or until the works are completed if earlier. (Definitive Footpath Garforth No.3a)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025 Extension

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the works to complete a link between two highways the above-named Order that was made by Leeds City Council on 24 March 2026 and which was due to expire on 24 September 2026, is to remain in force (with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport) until 24 March 2027; or until the completion of the works if earlier. The effect of the Order, as extended, is that: No person shall proceed on foot along Garforth 3A, from its junction with Roscommon Way to the junction with Definitive Footpath Swillington 6. (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025 Extension

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the commencement of building works to commence that will provide a permanent diversion the above-named Order that was made by Leeds City Council on 24 March 2026 and which was due to expire on 24 September 2026, is to remain in force (with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport) until 24 March 2027; or until the completion of the works if earlier. The effect of the Order, as extended, is that: No person shall proceed on foot along Definitive Footpath Garforth No.1; from its junction with Selby Road to the junction with The Beck. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to work for an emergency repair of a dangerous wall posing risk to users; Leeds City Council has today made an Order In the interests of public safety, the effect of is that: No person shall proceed along Definitive Footpath Otley 31, from its jct with Birdcage Wk to the jct with Johnny Ln. Diversionary route available via Johnny Ln. The Order shall come into operation on 24 September 2026 and to remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. Temporary Prohibition of Parking & One-Way Traffic Restriction Order (No.2) 2026

Various Events at Testbed Event Venue Butterley Street Leeds

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the likelihood of danger arising to the public due to the holding of events at the Testbed Event Venue on Hunslet Lane; Leeds City Council as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District, has today made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; The effect of the Order is that 1.No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in a southerly direction along Butterley St, from its jct with Hunslet Ln for a distance of 250m at any time when a temporary one-way restriction is in place; during the event dates and periods specified in the Schedule below. (Signed local diversions will be in operation) 2. No person shall cause any vehicle to park or be in any of those parking bays situated on Butterley St, running from a point 170 metres south of Hunslet Rd, for a distance of 60m along the eastern carriageway edge; during the event dates and periods specified in the Schedule below. The Order will not at any time prevent access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the Order relates, or to premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, any such road. The temporary one-way traffic flow and parking bay suspension restrictions will be implemented (as necessary)

(Speed Limits) (City Wide) Order 2025

Amendment Order No.6 2025: Harrogate Road & Stainbeck Lane, Chapel Allerton Ward – 20mph Speed Limit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers has today made the above Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20MPH Speed Limit on: 1. Harrogate Road, Chapel Allerton Ward; from its junction with Wood Lane, in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Back Methley Drive. 2. Stainbeck Lane, Chapel Allerton Ward; from its junction with the Harrogate Road, in a westerly direction to its junction with Wensley Drive. A copy of the Amendment Order, together with related documentation may be obtained by emailing troteam@leeds.gov.uk. If you wish to object to question the validity of this Amendment Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
