Cumberland - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U1111 KIRKANDREWS-ON-EDEN TO BEAUMONT AND C1013 LITTLE CORBY ROAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. U1111, from its junction with the U1113 in Beaumont, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 1 km to its junction with the C2042 Kirkandrews-on-Eden.

Alternative Route: via the U1113 Beaumont to Monkhill and C2042 Monkhill to Kirkandrews-on-Eden.

Duration: From 23 October 2026 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/1970)

2. C1013 Little Corby Road, from its junction with the C1013, Corby Hill Road, adjacent to The Otter Inn, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 540m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1013, Little Corby Road and Corby Hill Road, A69 and A689

Duration: From 11 November 2026 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/20113)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
