(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (BS26-308)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Retford in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. B6079 Retford Road - Worksop from its junction with B6040 Worksop Road Worksop to Retford Road Scofton
b. B6079 Retford Road Scofton - from its junction with A1 Junction A620/B6079 Slip Road to Retford Road Worksop
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both sides) (20:00 to 06:00) in the following length of road at Retford & Scofton in the District of Bassetlaw :-
a. B6079 Retford Road - Worksop from its junction with B6040 Worksop Road Worksop to Retford Road Scofton
b. B6079 Retford Road Scofton - from its junction with A1 Junction A620/B6079 Slip Road to Retford Road Worksop
1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours Monday 19th October 2026
Until 06:00 hours Friday 23rd October 2026
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
B6040 - A57 - A1 and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 19th October 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable VIA EM on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway Patching and associated works.
