THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (SPONDON, DERBYSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A52 Trunk Road, at Spondon in the County of Derbyshire, to allow resurfacing works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to close the link road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A52 to its junction with the A5111 Raynesway, at Spondon.
The closure will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 05:30 hours Monday to Saturday (am) and are expected to start on Monday 19th October 2026 and continue for continue for approximately 2 weeks. The Order will come into force on 12 October 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
A diversion route via an alternative junction of the A52 and the A6 will be signed.
