A27 TRUNK ROAD – FARLINGTON TO PORTSBRIDGE
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M27 Motorway in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because of the likelihood of danger to public.
This forms an extension of Temporary Notice NH/2026/E1081 (which it thereby replaces) as permitted by The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 (a), Regulation 7.
The effect of the Order is to impose a 24-hour 50 miles per hour speed restriction on the westbound carriageway of the A27 between points approximately 145 metres and 1290 metres west of the centreline of the westmost underbridge at Farlington Interchange.
This measure is in the interests of road safety owing to the danger to the public posed by parapet damage and remedial works undertaken to repair it.
The Order will come into force on 28th September 2026 and continue for 18 months or until the danger has passed, whichever is sooner.
The temporary speed limit will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation during the danger period.
