Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026
On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Carthouse Lane (D3625) Horsell as extends from its junction at its roundabout with (C12) Littlewick Road and (C140) Horsell Birch to its junction with the access to the property known as “Brook House”; (b) Littlewick Road (C12) Knaphill as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (D3625) Carthouse Lane and (C140) Horsell Birch to its junction with (D7210) Claydon Road; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Carthouse Lane (D3625) Horsell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026”, “The Surrey County Council Carthouse Lane (D3625) Horsell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026”, and “The Surrey County Council Carthouse Lane (D3625) Horsell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as they affect that length of road in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (1) Carthouse Lane, Guildford Road, Castle Grove Road, (A3046) Station Road, (A3046) Chobham Road, and Littlewick Road, or this route in reverse; (2) Littlewick Road, Barrs Lane, Chobham Road, Guildford Road, Castle Grove Road, (A3046) Station Road, (A3046) Chobham Road, and Littlewick Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate excavation of HV Duct installation and connection works for, or on behalf of Central Energy Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 7pm and 3am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/ or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
St Johns Road (D7309) St Johns
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of St Johns Road (D7309) St Johns as extends from Triggs Lane Roundabout to the common boundary of 3 and 4 The Triangle.
Alternative route – Parley Drive, A324 (Lockfield Drive and Amstel Way), Hermitage Road and St Johns Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to facilitate water mains repairs and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 October 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Madeira Road (D3759) West Byfleet
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Madeira Road (D3759) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with (C130) Camphill Road north-westward for a distance of 20 metres. Alternative Route – Camphill Road; A245 Old Woking Road; Station Approach; and Madeira Road or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 19 October 2026 is required to facilitate mains water repair works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Affinity Water within the lengths of road described in this notice. The works in are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 9am and 4pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
