CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4141 HOLBURN HILL, U4166 LORD STREET, U4424 LOWTHER ROAD, MILLOM) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
U4141 Holborn Hill, Millom, from its junction with the A5093, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 160 m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Holborn Hill, Moor Road and the A5093.
Duration: From 19 October 2026 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: TTROC/19698)
U4166 Lord Street, Millom, from its junction with Queen Street, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 200 m.
Alternative Route: via Furness Street, Wellington Street and Queen Street.
Duration: From 19 October 2026 for approx. 4 weeks (Ref: TTROC/19702)
U4424 Lowther Road, Millom, from its junction with St Georges Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 60 m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Lowther Road, Bowness Road, Mainstee Road and St Georges Road.
Duration: From 2 November 2026 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: TTROC/19706)

The Order will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
