Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
B2017 Badsell Road, Mascalls Court Road & B2160 Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 6GB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND WEIGHT LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of B2017 Badsell Road, Mascalls Court Road & B2160 Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 209 days or until the works have been completed. The weight limit on B2160 Maidstone Road will be suspended to allow for diversion.
B2017 Badsell Road will be closed at the junction with B2160 Maidstone Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Badsell Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, A228 Whetsted Road, A228 Maidstone Road, and vice versa.

B2084 Chequers Road, Goudhurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow link box works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2084 Chequers Road, Goudhurst, on or after 6th October 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with School Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2084 Chequers Road, B2079 North Road, A262 High Street, A262 Church Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, B2084 Chequers Road and vice versa.
Clover Way, Paddock Wood, TN12 6HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow service cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clover Way, Paddock Wood, on or after 5th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 11. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Harland Way, Southborough, TN4 0RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow electric cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harland Way, Southborough, on or after 20th October 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity property named Harland End. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Heartenoak Road, Hawkhurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow overhead fibre cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heartenoak Road, Hawkhurst, on or after 20th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with A229 Cranbrook Road, for a distance approximately 1320 metres, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heartenoak Road, Ockley Road, A229 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
Napier Road & Nelson Road, Hawkenbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow alteration to gas service works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Napier Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 5th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed. The one way orders on Napier Road & Nelson Road will be temporarily suspended to allow for diversion.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Napier Road, Dorset Road, Forest Road, Napier Road and vice versa. The one way orders on Napier Road & Nelson Road will be temporarily suspended to allow for diversion.
Neills Road, Lamberhurst, TN5 6QZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow tree safety works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Neills Road, Lamberhurst, on or after 23rd October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Newbury Lane to the junction with Free Heath, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Newbury Lane, Sleepers Stile Road, Free Heath and vice versa.
Quaker Drive, Cranbrook, TN17 2HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Quaker Drive, Cranbrook, on or after 20th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Quaker Lane to the rear of number 5 Quaker Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Wallers, Speldhurst, TN3 0PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water main and connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wallers, Speldhurst, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 44 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Speldhurst Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and parking on parts of Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 57 days or until the works have been completed, as detailed below:
Clarendon Gardens will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A267 Frant Road, and parking will be prohibited from the junction with Frant Road to the junction with Maple Close on both sides of the carriageway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A267 Frant Road, Montacute Road, Clarendon Way, Clarendon Gardens and vice versa.
Roedean Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A267 Frant Road, and parking will be prohibited from the junction with A267 Frant Road to property number 1 on both sides of the carriageway.To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A267 Frant Road, Rodmell Road, Warwick Park, Roedean Road and vice versa.
Montacute Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A267 Frant Road and parking will be prhibited from the junction with A267 Frant Road to the rear of property number 20 on both sides of the carriageway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A267 Frant Road, Clarendon Gardens, Clarendon Way and vice versa.
Rodmell Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A267 Frant Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A267 Frant Road, A267 Nevill Street, Warwick Park, Rodmell Road and vice versa.
Parking will be prohibited from the junction with A267 Frant Road to outside property named Craigside on both sides of the carriageway and from Upper Cumberland Walk to the junction with Madeira Park on both sides of the carriageway.
Madeira Park will be closed in the vicinity of property numbers 57 and 46, and parking will be prohibited from the junction with Rodmell Road to the junction with Mount Sion on both sides of the carriageway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Maderia Park and vice versa.
Mount Sion will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Little Mount Sion, and parking will be prohibited from the junction with Little Mount Sion to the junction with Clifton Place on both sides of the carriageway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mount Sion, High Street, A26 London Road, A263 Vale Road, B2023 Grove Hill Road, Claremont Road and vice versa.
Howard Gardens will be closed at the junction with A267 Frant Road, and parking will be prohibited from the junction with A267 Frant Road for the full length and both sides of the carriageway.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
VARIOUS ROADS, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of gas mains replacement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic and parking on Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells as per the schedule below.
This Order takes effect on or after 19th October 2026 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, or where stated on a valid permit. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. This programme is subject to weather and other factors and may therefore change; every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the programmed dates and duration. Changes will be notified locally and signposted on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network.

The following roads will be closed and parking prohibited, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site, as detailed below:
SANDHURST PARK, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• Northern end in the vicinity of the junction with Sandhurst Road.
• Southern end in the vicinity of the junction with Sandhurst Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Park, Sandhurst Road and vice versa.
BROOK ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• In the vicinity of the junction with Sandhurst Road.
• From the junction with Sandhurst Road to the junction with Rymers Close.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Road, Oak Road and vice versa.
BIRKEN ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• In the vicinity of the junction with Sandhurst Road.
• From the junction with Sandhurst Road to the junction with Harries Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Road, Sherwood Road, Greggswood Road, Liptraps Lane and vice versa.
SANDHURST ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• From the junction with Birken Road to the junction with A264 Pembury Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Victoria Road, Garden Road, Lansdowne Road, Sandrock Road, A264 Pembury Road.
SHERWOOD ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• In the vicinity of the junction with Sandhurst Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sherwood Road, Sandhurst Road and vice versa.
FERNDALE, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• In the vicinity of the junction with Sandhurst Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandrock Road, Garden Road, Victoria Road, Good Station Road, Grosvenor Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, Sandhurst Road and vice versa.
FRIARS WAY, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS
• From the junction with Birken Road to the junction with Allandale Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Friars Way, Greggswood Road, Sherwood Road, Sandhurst Road and vice versa.
