Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

A227 Gravesend Road, Wrotham, TN15 7JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow service cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Gravesend Road, Wrotham, on or after 25th October 2026 for up to 1day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Riding Light. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road, A225 Dartford Road, A225 Main Road, A225 Hawley Road, A225 Lowfield Street, A225 Princes Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, B260 Main Road, B260 Longfield Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Gravesend Road and vice versa.



A229 Bluebell Hill Slip South On, Bluebell Hill (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow road marking works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Bluebell Hill Slip South On, Chatham, on or after 23rd October 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed the entire length of southbound on-slip to A229 Bluebell Hill and 175 metres of lane 1 on Bluebell Hill after slip road joins, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Lord Lees Roundabout, A229 Lord Lees Roundabout Northbound Off Slip (A229 Maidstone Road), A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Tiger Moth Roundabout, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Blue Bell Hill.



Brooklands Road, New Hythe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brooklands Road, New Hythe, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Marsh Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marsh Way, Brookfield Avenue, River Way, Brooklands Road and vice versa.



Ewell Avenue, West Malling, ME19 6NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ewell Avenue, West Malling, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 40. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ewell Avenue, Fartherwell Avenue and vice versa.



Hamptons Road, Shipbourne, TN11 9RH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hamptons Road, Shipbourne, on or after 9th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Park Road to the junction with Dunks Green Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hamptons Road, Carpenters Lane, Common Road, A26 Maidstone Road, A26 High Street, A26 The Square, A26 High Street, A26 Tonbridge Road, Ashes Lane, Higham Lane, Puttenden Road, Claygate Lane, Hamptons Road and vice versa.



High Street, West Malling, ME19 6NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow the West Malling Farmers Market to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, West Malling, on or after 25th October 2026 for up to 548 days or until the events have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Water Lane and Swan Street, between the hours of 06:00 and 15:00 only. This event will be held on the 4th Sunday of every month. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Town Hill, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, King Hill, St Leonards Street and vice versa.



Lower Street, Hildenborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water main renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Street, Hildenborough, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 159 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Rings Hill to the junction with Philpots Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Philpots Lane, Rings Hill and vice versa.



New Hythe Lane, Larkfield, ME20 6QH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow foul water diversion installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Hythe Lane, Larkfield, on or after 23rd October 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the East Malling and Larkfield Parish Council Office to property number 152 New Hythe Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Hythe Lane, A20 London Road, Lunsford Lane, Gighill Road, Leybourne Way, New Hythe Lane and vice versa.



Priory Road, Tonbridge, TN9 2BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow essential Network Rail bridge structure maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Priory Road, Tonbridge, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed either side of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only on the dates of 19th October to 23rd October, followed by 24/7 continuous working beginning at 22:00 on 24th October 2026 and finishing at 05:00 on 2nd November 2026. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Priory Road, Goldsmid Road, A2014 Pembury Road, B2260 Quarry Hill Road, Priory Road and vice versa.



St Marys Road, Wrotham, TN15 7RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pit and meter works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Marys Road, Wrotham, on or after 20th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Marys Road, Borough Green Road, High Street, St Marys Road and vice versa.



Teston Road, Offham, ME19 5NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teston Road, Offham, on or after 22nd October 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Pepingstraw Close and the junction with North Meadow, between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Teston Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Comp Lane and vice versa.
