Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
B2008 High Street, Minster-on-sea, ME12 2TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2026
To allow street lighting column replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2008 High Street, Minster-on-sea from 21:00 hours on 5th October 2026, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 6th October 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Waterloo Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2008 Minster Road, Barton Hill Drive, A2500 Lower Road, B2008 Eastchurch Road, Chequers Road and Chapel Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bull Lane, Newington, ME9 7SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bull Lane, Newington from 8th October 2026 with estimated completion by 9th October 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 30m north of Gwelo Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Playstool Road, A2 High Street, Boyces Hill, Keycol Hill, Keystreet Roundabout, Chestnut Street, Wormdale Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Courtenay Road, Dunkirk, CT2 9LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow overhead lines and pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Courtenay Road, Dunkirk from 21st October 2026 for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Dargate Road and Dawes Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dargate Road, Butlers Hill, Church Hill, Staplestreet Road, Dawes Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dully Road, Tonge, ME9 9NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dully Road, Tonge from 8th October 2026 with estimated completion by 9th October 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite Haywards Farm Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, Lynsted Lane, The Street, Christophers Row, Kingsdown Road, Dully Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Street, Upchurch, ME9 7AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Upchurch from 25th October 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Horsham Lane and Chaffes Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Horsham Lane, Otterham Quay Lane, A2 Moor Street, London Road, Oak Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Thistle Hill Way, Minster-on-sea, ME12 3TZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Thistle Hill Way, Minster-on-sea from 19th October 2026, with estimated completion by 30th October 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Larch End and Scocles Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plover Road, Barton Hill Drive, B2008 Minster Road, High Street, Back Lane, Scocles Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
West Street, William Street & Ufton Lane, Sittingbourne (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow resurfacing and road marking installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of West Street, Sittingbourne from 19th October 2026, with estimated completion by 21st October 2026, or until the works have been completed.
West Street will be closed between the junctions with Dover Street and St Michaels Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Road, Albany Road, Avenue of Remembrance, Bell Road, B2006 Crown Quay Lane, B2006 Eurolink Way, Mill Way, King Street, St Pauls Street, Staplehurst Road, Bobbing Interchange, Sheppey Way, A2 Key Street Roundabout, Key Street and London Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The One-Way Order on William Street and Ufton Lane will be suspended, to allow access.
Various Roads, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026
To allow surface water line works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of various roads in Faversham from 24th October 2026, with estimated completion by 31st October 2026, or until the works have been completed.
B2040 South Road, West Street, Leslie Smith Drive & B2040 North Lane, Faversham will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for B2040 South Road & B2040 North Lane is via B2040 Conduit Street, Quay Lane, Crescent Road, B2041 Newton Road, Station Road, Forbes Road, The Mall, A2 London Road, B2040 Ospringe Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for West Street is via Caslocke Street, Hatch Street, Beckett Street, Napleton Road, Tanner Street, Curtis Way, Stonebridge Way, Beech Close and Lower Road.
The alternative route for Leslie Smith Drive will be signed and displayed on site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The One-Way Order on West Street will be suspended to allow access.
