Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
B2162 Benover Road, Yalding (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow temporary traffic lights for pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 40 MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, on or after 8th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed. The current 50 MPH speed limit will be suspended for the duration of these works.
The road will have a temporary mandatory 40 MPH speed limit imposed from in the vicinity of Nightingale Farm to in the vicinity of Yalding Organic Gardens, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Bow Hill, Nettlestead, ME18 5EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Hill, Nettlestead, on or after 23rd October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Bow Bridge to the junction with Hunt Street, between the hours of 16:00 and 23:59 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bow Bridge, B2015 Bow Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2163 Teston Lane, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Yalding Hill, Kenward Road and vice versa.

To allow cable and duct clearing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Hill, Nettlestead, on or after 5th October 2026 for up to 5 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from in the vicinity of Kennel Cottages to the junction with Hunt Street, between the hours of 19:00 and 04:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow school events to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of Buckland Road, Maidstone, on or after 8th October 2026 as detailed below:
Buckland Road will have restricted parking between Buckland Hill and the school gates. Restrictions will be in place:
8th October 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
13th October 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
19th November 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
3rd December 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of East Street & Hunton Road, Hunton, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed as detailed below:
East Street will be closed from the junction with George Street to the junction with Hunton Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Hunton Road will be closed from the junction with East Street to the junction with Dairy Lane, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
