What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

A2 Three Crutches Slip Eastbound, Higham, ME2 3UG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of National Highways Ltd works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on A2 Three Crutches Slip Eastbound, Higham, on or after 9th October 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

There are two diversions:

Non motorway traffic to exit the A2 at Cobham via Brewers Road, The Ridgeway, Pear Tree Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, A289 Hasted Road.

Motorway traffic via M2 to J2 and return to the A289 Wainscott Northern Bypass, A226 Gravesend Road, A2 Watling Street.



B261 Dover Road East & Park Avenue, Gravesend, DA11 0JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B261 Dover Road East and Park Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed at their junctions with each other.

The alternative route for B261 Dover Road East is via B261 Dover Road East, B261 Rosherville Way, A226 Thames Way, Vale Road, Perry Street, B261 Old Road West.

The alternative route for Park Avenue is via Vale Road, Perry Street, B261 Old Road West.



Albion Road, Gravesend, DA12 2SG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albion Road, Gravesend, on or after 5th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 6.

The alternative route is via Albion Road, Albion Terrace, Ordnance Road, A226 Milton Road and vice versa.



Camer Park Road & Foxendown Lane, Meopham, DA13 0BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Camer Park Road and Foxendown Lane, Meopham, on or after 5th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed at their junctions with each other.

The alternative route for Camer Park Road is via Camer Park Road, Green Lane, A227 Wrotham Road, The Street and vice versa.

The alternative route for Foxendown Lane is via Whitehill Road, Horn Oaks Road, Priestwood Road, Woodhill, Brimstone Hill and vice versa.



Cycle Track From Wrotham Road To Wrotham Road, Gravesend, DA11 7PF (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of Cycle Track From Wrotham Road To Wrotham Road, Gravesend, on or after 7th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane will be suspended between numbers 400 and 412.



Ordnance Road, Gravesend, DA12 2PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a foul sewer connection for Milton Place development, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ordnance Road, Gravesend, on or after 19th October 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Chantry Community School.

The alternative route is via Ordnance Road, A226 Milton Road, Albion Road, Albion Terrace and vice versa.
