Designation as a Quiet Lane
Notice is hereby given that a Public Meeting is to be held at Coggeshall Village Hall, Coggeshall, CO6 1UH on Thursday 8th October 2026 – 11.00am-13.00pm to discuss the proposal. The proposed designations will be for:-
From its junction with Skye Green Road to the junction with Wills Green, including the full extent of Langley Green Road (between Mill Road and Elm Lane) and the full extent of Mill Lane (from its junction with Old Road where it terminates at a dead end).

(East Street, Coggeshall)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of East Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 80m north east of its junction with Market Hill for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEAA5276347SB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via B1024, A12, A120, B1024 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
