RHODDIR RHYBUDD DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd dros Maesteg gan arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) yn bwriadu o fewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn gwneud Gorchymyn fydd yn cyflwyno dros dro y cyfyngiad a eglurir yn yr atodlen isod.
Mae’r Gorchymyn er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd oherwydd archwiliad ar bont Network Rail ac nad yw’r gerbytfordd yn ddigon llydan i ganiatáu mynediad i gerbydau.
Daw y Gorchymyn i rym ar 07/10/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf, neu tan y cyfryw amser ag y bydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag fydd y cyntaf.
Disgwylir i’r gwaith a gynlluniwyd gael ei wneud rhwng 08:00 a 16:00 ar yr 20fed o Hydref 2026.
Atodlen - Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd deithio ymlaen o Rif 5 Heol Ewenni at Rif 6 Heol Ewenni, Maesteg am oddeutu 40 metr.Y ffordd amgen i gerbydau yw ar hyd Heol Ewenni, Stryd Bethania, Stryd y Bont, Stryd y Castell, Heol Ewenni ac I’r gwrthwyneb.
Darperir mynediad drwy’r cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans wrth iddynt ymateb i achosion brys, Cedwir mynediad ar droed i gerddwyr at bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau fydd wedi eu diffinio drwy gydol y cyfnod y bydd y ffordd ar gau.
Ni fydd y cyfyngiadau’n weithredol, fodd bynnag, ond ar y cyfryw amser ac i’r cyfryw raddau ag y dangosir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(EWENNY ROAD, MAESTEG) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Maesteg in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below.
The Order is in the interest of public safety due to networks rail bridge inspection and there is insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access.
The Order will come into force on 07/10/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated that the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 on 20th October 2026.
Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed from No.5 Ewenny Road to No.6 Ewenny Road, Maesteg for approximately 40 meters. The alternative route for vehicles is via Ewenny Road, Bethania street, Bridge street, Castle Street, Ewenny Road, and vice versa.
Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
