Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clacton Road, Wix in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411007WGRGGK1P – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Clacton Road, Wix Road – Stones Green – Zc12, Colchester Road, Clacton Road, Wix Road, B1414, Wix Road, Oakley Road, Harwich Road vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
