Swindon - Variation of Waiting/Loading Restrictions & Blue Badge Parking

(WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2026

(VARIATION NO. 1) ORDER 2026

Notice is GIVEN of Swindon Borough Council’s intention to make the above Order under the provisions of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is a variation of the ‘No Loading and Waiting At Any Time’ restriction from the taxi ranks outside the Hotel, around the turning head on Islington Street (north side) ending adjacent to the Pharmacy. Introduction of Blue Badge holder parking bay limited to 1 hour maximum stay with (no return within 1 hour) on Islington Street (east side) outside the Health Centre and ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ from the entrance to Whalebridge Car Park for a distance of approx. 38.3 metres in a northerly direction on Islington Street (east side).

Objections or representations to the proposed Order should be made by completing the consultation form which can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders under ‘Stage 2 – Formal consultation’ with reference (H&T/TRO/Islington Street) by no later than 16 October 2026. Any objection or representation received will form part of a public record which may be made publicly available.
