SECTION 14 – THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make the following orders:
(STR001412 Station Road, Swindon) This Order is introduced for TELECOM WORKS and will impose prohibition of driving on Station Road at the junction with Corporation Street outside Brunswick House. Traffic to be diverted via Corporation Street, Manchester Road and County Road. The Order comes into force on the 12 October 2026 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 12 to 14 October 2026.
(STR001425 Westrop, Highworth) This Order is introduced for CIRCET UK LTD WORKS and will impose prohibition of driving on Westrop between Westrop Farm House and Windyridge. Traffic to be diverted via Grove Hill and Lechlade Road. The Order comes into force on the 2 November 2026 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 2 to 4 November 2026.
(STR001422 Mill Lane, Swindon) This Order is introduced for OPENREACH WORKS and will impose prohibition of driving on Mill Lane at the entrance to Chaddington Strand. Access to be maintained. The Order comes into force on the 4 November 2026 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 4 to 6 November 2026.
(STR001429 Hampton Lane, Highworth) This Order is introduced for THAMES WATER WORKS and will impose prohibition of driving on Hampton Lane at the junction with B4019. Traffic to be diverted via the B4019. The Order comes into force on the 10 November 2026 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 10 to 13 November 2026.
(STR001428 Grove Hill, Highworth) This Order is introduced for THAMES WATER WORKS and will impose prohibition of driving on Grove Hill outside Property No 44. Traffic to be diverted via Westrop, Lechlade Road and St Michaels Avenue. The Order comes into force on the 4 November 2026 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 4 to 6 November 2026.
